Description:The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the system-focused design and development of products. The Senior Systems Engineer has broad-based knowledge of hardware/software systems and knowledge of multidisciplinary approaches to assure effective manufacturing handover and deployment of product systems into operating environments. The ranges of responsibility include hands-on design and development, project management and oversight, and engineering program management.
Duties:• Manage technically complex projects and large scope programs from design and development through the implementation of the product.
• Create strategic and operational plans for the development of products and systems.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts throughout the product development lifecycle to deliver complete end-to-end system solutions.
• Perform business case and ROI analysis. Develop project cost estimates. Manage cost tracking and functional expenses. Create and execute risk mitigation strategies. Compile and deliver executive reports and summaries.
• Create project plans and timelines. Define resource needs and schedules for project or program implementation. Report project status and deliverables.
• Coordinate with cross-functional directors, managers, and peers to execute project activities.
• Develop product and system requirements. Ensure the incorporation of workflow analysis, human factors analysis, and regulatory and patient safety requirements in all aspects of system design.
• Provide technical training, peer mentorship, and engineering guidance.
• Demonstrate engineering leadership across the organization to ensure on-going product quality and design integrity.
• Design and maintain technical and project documentation using best practices.
Qualifications:Experience & Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an engineering discipline
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in product design and development
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in systems engineering with an emphasis on software intensive systems
• Project management certification or equivalent preferred
• Experience in the development of pharmacy automation products and systems
