This position is responsible for management of all corporate level production and test databases. The DBA is expected to install, configure, and upgrade database servers; plan for the successful retirement of older installations; ensure security, availability, and performance; develop and manage the corporate data warehouse; and work with key stakeholders to develop corporate reports and dashboards in a Microsoft centric environment.
Monitor and manage all corporate level database servers
Troubleshoot database related problems or issues
Escalates and communicates database problems
Review and manage project requests including requirements, time and cost estimates
Develop and maintain database architectures, coding standards, quality assurance, and business continuity policies and procedures
Create models for new database development and/or changes to existing ones
Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems
Monitor database system details within the database including physical data storage, stored procedures, execution time, and implement efficiency improvements
Manage change control process for testing and implementing change requests
Create, or support creation of, required reports and dashboards in response to business user needs
Perform database transaction and security audits
Continual management and refinement of the corporate data warehouse
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years experience in Information Technology
Strong understanding of database structures theories, principles, and practices
Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience
Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques
Strong technical documentation and oral communication skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Detailed knowledge of MS-SQL Server, SQL Analytics
Desired Experience (but not required):
Experience with MS PowerPivot for SharePoint
Experience with MS PerformancePoint
